ZEE5, the leading video streaming platform in India known for its diverse storytelling, has unveiled its latest Telugu original series titled 'Vikkatakavi: The Chronicles of Amaragiri'. This groundbreaking show marks Telangana's inaugural dive into the detective genre, with its premiere set for November 28. Under the production leadership of Ram Talluri from SRT Entertainments and the creative direction of Pradeep Maddali, coupled with Teja Desharaj's compelling writing, 'Vikkatakavi' is a period thriller that takes audiences through the enigmatic tales of Telangana, focusing on the Amaragiri province's secrets.

The narrative is anchored around Ramakrishna, portrayed by Naresh Agastya, who returns to ZEE5 following his success in 'Paruvu'. This time, he steps into the shoes of a young detective set in the 1970s Nallamalla Forest, tasked with solving a perplexing mystery. Assisting him is Megha Akash, who plays the royal princess Lakshmi, adding layers to the mystery thriller. The anticipation for 'Vikkatakavi' is high, with its trailer recently unveiled by the popular actor Vishwak Sen, known as Mass Ka Das, stirring excitement among fans.

The plot delves into the peculiar happenings within the soon-to-be-flooded Amaragiri province, where villagers mysteriously lose their memories upon venturing into the Nallamalla Forest at night, attributing this phenomenon to a goddess's curse. Ramakrishna's investigation leads him down a rabbit hole of historical conspiracies, political machinations, and a tragic royal death, with the looming submersion of Amaragiri under the Krishna River threatening to bury its secrets forever. It's a race against time for Ramakrishna to solve the mystery and unveil Amaragiri's hidden past.
