Vikkatakavi web series Now Streaming: The first web series based on rural Telangana and set in the 1970s is Vikkatakavi. 'Mathu Vadalara' fame Naresh Agasthya, who has been doing selective roles is the protagonist of the series and Megha Akash headlined the project as the female lead. Written and directed by Pradeep Maddali, the series made a much-awaiting streaming debut on ZEE 5 platform in Telugu and Tamil on November 28.

Upon its release, the bilingual web series got decent reviews from entertainment enthusiasts who love thriller genre content. The story, performances, and narrative are given a thumbs-up whereas poorly written characters and a riveting screenplay have been cited as a negative points about the series.

Vikkatakavi Synopsis
Set in 1970s, the first-of-its-kind Telangana-based detective thriller features Naresh Agastya as the protagonist Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna is a brilliant student at Osmania University and is renowned for his special characteristics. His Professor leads him to a mysterious village Amaragiri where natives lose memory after visiting Devathala Gutta. What Ramakrishna does do with his new mission? What is the mystery behind the Devathala Gutta in the village? How did Ramakrishna solve the mystery forms the crux of Vikkatakavi series.
