Vishwambhara Overseas Theatrical Rights: Chiranjeevi-Vassishta's Film Closes Deal Before Shooting Kick Starts

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who was last seen for Sankranti 2023 as 'Waltair Veerayya' earned mammoth money, making it his career's biggest hit so far. The veteran then signed a film with the 'Bimbisara' director Vassishta Mallidi, which is going to be a supernatural thriller.

In general, as per the Hindu mythological history, the term Vishwambhara is 'The Goddess who supports the universe.' The movie is referred to as 'Mega 156' and is estimated to be made on a budget of about Rs 200 Crore.

Vishwambhara's cast details are yet to be revealed. The movie's official pooja was held on October 23, 2023, and the event was attended by the who's who of Tollywood. From what was revealed by the filmmakers, as many as 13 sets will be built for the filming of Vishwambhara in Hyderabad under the direction of Production Designer AS Prakash. The movie is going to rely heavily on Visual Effects and CG, almost 70 %.

Vishwambhara Shooting From February

Chiranjeevi and Vasshishta along with the other cast and crew will begin filming for this epic supernatural thriller from the first week of February in Hyderabad.

While fans are happy about this unique collaboration that has amplified the expectations, they are only hoping that the film will become a bigger success than Waltair Veerayya and deliver another blockbuster to Chiranjeevi rather than becoming one like his notable socio-fantasy film 'Anji.'

Vishwambhara Overseas Theatrical Rights Sold

The makers of the film sealed the deal for its theatrical rights overseas for a decent price, even before the filming began. As per the news reports, Sarigama distributors have shelled out Rs 18 Crore for the same.

V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy are funding the project under their UV Creations banner. Chota K. Naidu is on board as the cinematographer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is roped in as the film's editor. Santhosh Kamireddy will work with him. Sai Madhav Burra is penning the dialogues for the film.
