Akhanda 2 Box Office Collection: Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, the Telugu fantasy action thriller starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is nearing the end of its first full week in theaters. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film was released on December 12, 2025, in both 2D and 3D formats, with December 18 marking Day 7 of its theatrical run. As of the end of Day 6, early box office trends indicate a steady but tapering performance following a strong opening phase.

Akhanda 2 Box Office Collection Day 6

According to industry tracking portal Sacnilk, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has collected an estimated ₹74.02 crore net at the Indian box office across all languages in its first six days. The film opened with solid advance interest, reflected in its paid premiere day and Day 1 figures, before witnessing the expected weekday slowdown from Monday onward.

The film recorded an estimated ₹8 crore on its preview day (Thursday), followed by a sharp jump on its first Friday with collections of approximately ₹22.5 crore. Weekend numbers remained comparatively stable, with Saturday bringing in around ₹15.5 crore and Sunday close to ₹15.1 crore. However, collections dipped significantly on Monday, falling to ₹5.25 crore, and continued to soften through Tuesday and Wednesday, with Day 6 estimated at ₹3.42 crore based on early and rough data.

While Telugu markets contributed the bulk of the revenue, the film also saw modest earnings from dubbed versions in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The declining weekday trend aligns with typical box office patterns for large-scale releases following a front-loaded opening.

Akhanda 2 Synopsis, Cast, and Crew

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam serves as a sequel to the 2021 film Akhanda and continues the narrative involving twin brothers Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Aghora and Murali Krishna. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a national crisis triggered by a bioweapon attack during a religious event. As scientists race to contain the fallout, spiritual and scientific threats intersect, drawing the two central characters back into conflict. The film blends elements of mysticism, action, and contemporary concerns, a combination that has been central to its narrative design.

The cast includes Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The technical crew features music composer Thaman S, cinematographers C. Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae, and editor Tammiraju. The film is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with IVY Entertainment also backing the project.

As the film enters Day 7 on December 18, trade observers will be watching how collections hold during the latter half of the first week and into the second weekend. The coming days are expected to provide a clearer picture of its overall box office trajectory, particularly in the face of weekday occupancy levels and audience retention across regions.
