Akhanda 2 Teaser Released: The teaser of Akhanda 2, the sequel to the 2021 Telugu blockbuster Akhanda, has officially been unveiled by the makers. The video was released on June 9, 2025, at 6:03 PM, timed to coincide with lead actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's birthday on June 10. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the sequel has been generating interest among fans and industry watchers ever since it was announced.

The teaser, which dropped across digital platforms and social media, marks a major promotional material for the film, titled Akhanda 2: Thandavam. The brief clip gives audiences a quick glimpse into the film's tone and visual scale without revealing much about the plot. With a reputation for action-heavy storytelling, Boyapati appears to be continuing in the same high-energy direction.

Nandamuri Balakrishna returns in a key role, reprising his character from the original film that featured him in a dual role. While further details of his role in the sequel remain under wraps, fans can expect a continuation or evolution of the fierce, godman-inspired figure that defined Akhanda.

Along with the teaser, the team also announced the movie release date - the movie will hit theatres this Dussehra, on 25th September.

The original Akhanda, released in December 2021, was a major commercial success, grossing over ₹150 crore worldwide and marking the highest-grossing film of Balakrishna's career. It was also screened at the 53rd International Film Festival of India under the Indian Panorama section and received the state Gaddar Award for Second Best Feature Film.

With the teaser now out, anticipation is expected to build in the coming days as Akhanda 2 moves closer to its theatrical release.
