Akhanda 2 Thandavam: Nandamuri Balakrishna's Remuneration For Boyapati's Sequel Hikes After Daaku Maharaaj

NBK's Remuneration For Akhanda 2: Nandamuri Balakrishna is in the prime of his career at the age of 64 and the veteran was conferred with Padma Bhushan recently, adding to the success of his latest Sankranthi release, Daaku Maharaaj. He has been on a winning streak in Tollywood for the past couple of years with each film getting better than the previous one.

The movie written and directed by Bobby Kolli stars Urvashi Rautela, Shraddha Srinath, and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie is showing strength in its second week at the box office and was released in Hindi version last Friday. The movie is about to achieve the break-even.

Rs 40 Crore For Nandamuri Balakrishna's Remuneration

Meanwhile, the actor announced the hyped sequel to Boyapati Srinu's epic success Akhanda. Titled Akhanda 2 Thandavam, the movie is already on the sets and reportedly the director shot a few key scenes at the Khumbmela. Actress Pragya Jaiswal, who was seen alongside NBK in Akhanda and Daaku Maharaaj is said to have walked out of Akhanda 2. Rumours suggest that Samyuktha was taken as the female lead after Pragya's exit.

The filmmakers have erected specially designed sets to shoot at Ramoji Film City for Akhanda 2. Boyapati Srinu is gearing up to shoot the epic sequence of Akhanda 2, which is NBK's entrance as an Aghora. A decent amount and manpower is currently invested in the schedule.

The movie which is being made on a massive budget made headlines again for the news about Nandamuri Balakrishna's remuneration. The veteran is reportedly asking about Rs 40 Crore to Rs 45 Crore as salary for Akhanda 2. On the other hand, Boyapati Srinu is also rumoured to have been asking for Rs 30 Crore as remuneration for Akhanda 2. Put together, the makers of the film are required to put aside a whopping Rs 70 Crore for the actor and director's remuneration.

Akhanda 2 Thandavam stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, SJ Suryah, Jagapathi Babu, Kavya Thapar, and Ajay Purkar among others in pivotal roles. Akhanda 2 is bankrolled by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Entertainment banner on a budget of Rs 175 Crore. Thaman S will score the entire music.
