Akhanda 2 X Review: What Audiences Are Saying About Nandamuri Balakrishna's Action Drama Film

Akhanda 2 X Review Audiences React To Balakrishna Film

Akhanda 2 X Review: Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, the latest installment in the fantasy-action franchise headlined by Nandamuri Balakrishna, began its premiere screenings on December 11 in India and select overseas territories. The film has now been released globally on December 12, continuing the Akhanda universe four years after the original 2021 release.

Social Media Commentary Begins to Emerge

Following the film's theatrical release, early reactions have begun appearing on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter). Posts from viewers who attended first-day and early shows provide the initial layer of audience feedback. As additional screenings continue across India and overseas, these reactions are expected to increase, adding to the ongoing conversation about the film's narrative, performances, and overall presentation. Some of the initial audience reactions posted on X are highlighted below.

These early posts are not formal reviews and do not provide a comprehensive picture of public reception. Instead, they act as a snapshot of the first round of viewer engagement, reflecting only the impressions shared by those who saw the early shows. As more viewers attend screenings through the course of the day, the volume of audience commentary is expected to increase.

Akhanda 2 Cast and Technical Crew

Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the sequel brings back the signature blend of mythological elements and action-centered storytelling that shaped the original. The film is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishan Saksena under the 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment banners. Alongside Balakrishna, the cast features Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Kabir Duhan Singh in significant roles.

The project's technical team includes composer Thaman S, who scores the music, while C. Ramprasad leads the cinematography, with support from Santoshh D Detakae. Editing duties are handled by Tammiraju. The film's production design is overseen by A.S. Prakash. Vamsi-Shekar serves as the PRO, with marketing executed by First Show. Zee Studios is distributing the film across North India.

Akhanda 2 was initially meant to release on December 5. However, a stay order issued by the Madras High Court temporarily halted the release after a petition related to a financial dispute. With the matter subsequently resolved, the court lifted the stay, allowing the film to proceed with its December 12 launch.
