Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni and Hyderabad-born artist, and painter Zainab Ravdjee are set to exchange wedding vows today (June 6, 2025) at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, the same venue where Naga Chaitanya got married to Sobhita Dhulipala last year.

As the wedding preparations are going on in full swing, Nagarjuna and his wife Amala (Akhil Akkineni's mother) have recently visited Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence, personally inviting him to the celebrations. They also met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Vijayawada and invited him to their son's wedding on June 6.

Before Zainab Ravdjee, Akhil Akkineni was almost set to tie the knot with the granddaughter of the renowned businessman GVK Reddy. The two had gotten engaged in 2016 and were supposed to have a destination wedding in Italy.

However, fate had other plans and the wedding was called off in 2017, a few months before the big day. Several reports claimed that Akhil-Shriya had a huge fight at the Hyderabad airport and despite both the families' efforts, the two refused to reconcile.

Born in Hyderabad, Shriya is a noted fashion designer and costume, graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York, touted to be one of the most prestigious fashion schools in the world.
