Chhaava Telugu OTT Release Update: With the sensational response Chhaava movie earned following its worldwide theatrical release on February 14 in Hindi, the popular production house of Tollywood, Geetha Arts, bought the rights. They have dubbed the content of the historical action drama based on the life and martyrdom of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's son, to the big screen. The Telugu version was released on over 550 screens in India and abroad on March 7 to a thumping response. Within the first and opening weekend, Chhaava Telugu made about Rs 10 Crore.

Directed by Laxman Utekar who drew inspiration and screenplay from the book titled Chhaava, written by Shivaji Sawant, the movie Chhaava made a kill at the box office both domestically and abroad. Chhaava collected about Rs 708 Crore worldwide already.

Chhaava Synopsis
After the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji (Vicky Kaushal) steps up to take the reigns of the Maratha Empire. His legacy begins with attacks on Burhanpur, a historical event. His fight with Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb (Akshaye Khanna) and his martyrdom are depicted in a hair-raising screenplay.

Chhaava OTT Release Date

As per the latest entertainment buzz online, the movie's digital streaming partner, leading OTT giant Netflix, has reportedly decided on the date of streaming. The movie might start streaming on Netflix most likely from April 11. Netflix bagged the digital rights to Chhaava movie's all versions. The exact date of streaming will be announced later.

The historical action-drama stars Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Neil Bhoopalam, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, Varun Buddhadev, Santosh Juvekar, Alok Nath, Pradeep Rawat, and Kiran Karmarkar among others in key roles.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banners, the movie's cinematography was handled by Saurabh Goswami and Manish Pradhan worked as the editor.
