Chhaava Telugu: Will Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna's Historical Film Make Another Rs 100 Cr After March 7?

Chhaava In Telugu: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer historical action drama directed by Laxman Utekar is titled Chhaava. The movie based on the novel written by Shivaji Swant on Sambhaji, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire and the first son of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has been shaking the box office ever since its theatrical release on February 14.

Made on a budget of about Rs 140 Crore, Chhaava already amassed over Rs 582.09 Crore worldwide from its Hindi version. The movie's success prompted the Tollywood production house Geetha Arts to buy the dubbing rights. The Telugu version is now going to hit the screens on March 7. AR Rahman composed the film's music and score. The theatrical trailer in Telugu was released on March 3. Check it out below.

Chhaava was a phenomenon in Bollywood, especially in every nook and corner of Maharashtra. The theatres were chanting and cheering for the filmy depiction of Sambhaji Maharaj and his documented contributions to the Maratha empire. So far, Chhaava is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024, and the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.

Will Chhaava Impress Telugu Audiences?
Tollywood audiences are hardcore movie buffs. They know nothing else like they know cinema. Also, they are known for encouraging good cinema no holds barred. Many Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil films along with several Hollywood films have set massive box office records in Telugu states with their dubbing versions. Now that Vicky Kaushal's film is poised for a grand debut, a few people expect the movie could make another Rs 100 Crore from the Telugu box office. It is a matter of time before things unfold.
