Coolie Vs War 2 Box Office Collection Day 6 (Telugu): Independence Day 2025 week gave us a memorable box office clash that the fans will remember for a lifetime. It was the clash of the titans as Rajinikanth locked horns with Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan. Their epic battle in the theatres became the talk of the town as War 2 and Coolie engaged in a box office Royal Rumble.

IS WAR 2 A FLOP OR DISASTER?

Ayan Mukerji has faced the burnt of the disappointing numbers generated by War 2. The fans have expressed their displeasure over his direction, pointing out that there were loopholes in the storyline and the scenes were not executed properly.

While Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's performances received praise, the VFX and the storyline faced flak from the critics and the audience.

"War 2 couldn't strike a chord with the audience as the makers couldn't promote the show film and just depended on the hype. Considering the budget and buzz, the film should have crossed Rs 200 crore in the first five days in Hindi. War (Hindi) alone earned Rs 51 crore on the opening day in 2019," a reliable source told Filmibeat's Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit.

Trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal has been brutal while describing the performance of War 2. He refused to call the film a flop, but used the word 'disaster' to describe YRF's movie.

According to Sacnilk, War 2 earned Rs 1.6 crore (net) on Monday (August 18). The website stated that Coolie minted Rs 2.25 crore (net) on the same day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Considering Jr. NTR's star power in Telugu-speaking belts, War 2 opened with mammoth numbers. However, the magic fizzled out on the first Monday as the numbers didn't match the expectations.

Sacnilk's early estimates for Coolie's day 6 collection indicate that the movie earned Rs 9.50 crore. The Telugu version minted over Rs 1.5 crore on its first Tuesday.

War 2 collected Rs 8.25 crore (as per Sacnilk's early estimates) on the first Sunday, taking the total collection to Rs 192.75 crore. The Telugu version earned around Rs 1 crore.
