Empuraan Telugu Day 1 Box Office Collection: The Telugu version of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's highly awaited and hyped sequel to Lucifer, Empuraan aka L2: Empuraan, was released along with the original version at a time on March 27 worldwide. The movie, which registered stellar and never-before advance booking records in the Malayalam industry, opened to mixed reactions from critics and movie buffs. However, Empuraan has everything that satiates a typical and die-hard Mohanlal fan as Prithviraj Sukumaran, a fanboy himself, made sure that the movie caters to them.

On its first and opening day at the Telugu box office, L2: Empuraan movie is reportedly said to have made Rs 1.2 Crore (rough data). The collection from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is way better than the Tamil and Hindi versions. The Tamil version made only Rs 0.8 Crore while Rs 0.5 Crore was earned from Empuraan's Hindi version. The Malayalam collection for this hyped movie is about Rs 19.45 Crore, according to the Sacnilk website.
