Hari Hara Veera Mallu Censor Certificate: Pawan Kalyan's Action Drama Cleared For Release; Details Inside

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Cleared By CBFC For Release

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Censor Certificate: The much-awaited Telugu period action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword vs Spirit ~ Battle for Dharma has officially received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the makers confirmed on Monday (July 14). The Pawan Kalyan starrer, which has faced multiple delays over the years, is now set for theatrical release on July 24, 2025.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is set in the 17th-century Mughal Empire and centers on the outlaw character Veera Mallu. The story follows a rebel who rises against Mughal rule, triggering a revolutionary resistance. The film presents Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, alongside Bobby Deol as Emperor Aurangzeb and Nidhhi Agerwal as Panchami. Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, Sathyaraj, and others form part of the extensive supporting cast.

The certification comes less than two weeks ahead of the film's release. With the U/A rating in place, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is now cleared for theatrical release with parental guidance advised for viewers under 12.

Prolonged Production Journey

First announced in January 2020, the film began principal photography in September of that year. The production, however, was significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and Pawan Kalyan's political engagements, leading to multiple interruptions. The shooting resumed in phases and was finally wrapped in May 2025.

Interestingly, the film has had two directors at the helm-Krish Jagarlamudi managed the initial portions, while A. M. Jyothi Krishna directed the later sequences under Krish's supervision. The film's trailer, released on July 3, offered a glimpse into its period setting and large-scale battle sequences.

Technical and Creative Team

Hari Hara Veera Mallu boasts a large technical team with cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnana Shekar V.S., editor KL Praveen, and music composer M. M. Keeravani. The production design is handled by Thota Tharrani, and a team of prominent stunt choreographers, including Peter Hein, Nick Powell, and Stunt Silva, has been involved in crafting the action sequences.

Take a Poll

The film is backed by Mega Surya Production, with A. Dayakar Rao as producer and A. M. Rathnam presenting the film.

With the censor formalities now completed, all eyes are on the film's performance when it hits screens on July 24 in standard and EPIQ formats.
