Pawan Kalyan's Period Drama Approaches Theatrical Debut
Directed jointly by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film is set in the 17th-century Mughal era and follows the journey of Veera Mallu, a fictional rebel who challenges the authority of the empire. Joining Pawan Kalyan in the film are Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, and Satyaraj.
Initially announced in January 2020, the production faced repeated delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Pawan Kalyan's political commitments. The movie was predominantly shot in Hyderabad, with major sets recreated to reflect the period setting.
The film's technical crew includes cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and Gnana Shekar V.S., editor KL Praveen, and production designer Thota Tharrani. The music is composed by M. M. Keeravani, while a large team of action directors, including Nick Powell, Peter Hein, and Syam Kaushal, has handled the film's stunts.
Scheduled for worldwide release on July 24, 2025, in both standard and EPIQ formats, Hari Hara Veera Mallu has generated attention not only for its scale but also for being Pawan Kalyan's return to a historical action role. Whether the film can push past the $1 million milestone in premiere sales will depend on its performance over the next 48 hours.
