Buzz Around Nandamuri Balakrishna's Cameo In Jailer 2: Superstar Rajinikanth's highest-grosser and biggest blockbuster written and directed by Nelson, Jailer, now got a sequel. Titled Jaier 2, the movie bankrolled by Sun Pictures just went on the floors on March 10 amid enthusiasm and expectations. Jailer 2 might hit the screens in early summer of 2026.

When Jailer hit the screens, Nelson openly spoke that he wanted one of the Tollywood veterans, Nandamuri Balakrishna to be part of the film as he cast three other superstars from the neighbouring film industries -Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff. However, things didn't materialize as much. But, for the sequel, Jailer 2, fans of NBK are hoping that Nelson will surely cast Balakrishna in an important role.

The latest buzz reveals that Nelson is still negotiating for the cameo and Nandamuri Balakrishna's tight schedule is one of the reasons for the unconfirmed cameo. Check out the tweet below.

Jailer 2 Cast
While most of the characters in the first part have ended, a few characters with prominence are going to reprise their roles in the sequel, especially Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and Ramya Krishna among others. It is to be seen what Nelson has in store for the fans of Thalaivar.

The movie stars superstar Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishna, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mirnaa Menon, VTV Ganesh, Redin Kingsley, Sunil Reddy, Saravanan among others in key roles. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Kannada veteran Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Nagendra Babu, and Kishore played pivotal cameos.

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the movie's cinematography was handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan and R. Nirmal worked as the editor. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's entire sound and music, which is highly successful.
