Jatadhara Box Office Collection Day 5: Sudheer Babu And Sonakshi Sinha Film Sees Slow Start

Jatadhara Box Office Collection Day 5: The action-adventure fantasy Jatadhara, starring Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha in her Telugu debut, has completed five days in theaters and recorded an estimated ₹4.27 crore net collection across India. The film, which was released worldwide on November 7, was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal.
Box office tracking platform Sacnilk reports that Jatadhara opened with ₹1.07 crore on its first Friday. Collections remained steady on Saturday, earning the same amount, and saw a slight increase on Sunday with ₹1.25 crore, bringing the three-day total to approximately ₹3.39 crore. Weekday collections saw a significant decline, with Monday contributing ₹0.55 crore and Tuesday's earnings estimated at ₹0.33 crore, rounding off a five-day total of ₹4.27 crore net in India.
The film's box office earnings reflect an underwhelming performance. With Day 6 numbers pending, industry watchers will be observing the second weekend to gauge whether the film maintains audience interest.
Jatadhara Key Cast and Crew Details
Jatadhara features Sudheer Babu in the lead, with Sonakshi Sinha making her first appearance in Telugu cinema. The supporting cast includes Divya Khossla in a special appearance, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Rajeev Kanakala, Pradeep Rawat, and several others. The film's technical team includes cinematographer Sameer Kalyani, editor Venkat Kalyan, and music by Samira Koppikar, while dialogues were written by Sai Krishna Karne and Shyam Babu Meriga.
The story of Jatadhara is set against a backdrop of ancient rituals, where nobles hid treasures underground and sealed them with rituals known as bandanas. One such Pisachi Bandana creates a guardian named Dhanapisachi, and when it is disturbed in 1995, it triggers a series of events affecting those connected to it. The narrative blends elements of fantasy, mystery, and adventure, with the supernatural forming the central premise of the plot.
While the film did not register a strong opening, the coming weekend will be crucial in determining its overall theatrical run, especially as new releases enter cinemas in the Telugu and Hindi markets. The underwhelming box office performance so far positions Jatadhara as a film with limited audience interest during its first week.
