Jatadhara Streams On OTT: The supernatural thriller Jatadhara, starring Sudheer Babu and marking Sonakshi Sinha's Telugu debut, is now available for streaming on Prime Video. Originally released in theaters on November 7, 2025, the film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and has attracted attention for its myth-inspired premise.

Jatadhara Premise

Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, Jatadhara explores the legends and conspiracy theories surrounding the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, particularly the long-standing mystery of its sealed vaults. The story centers on ancient rituals known as bandanas, which were used by nobles to safeguard their hidden treasures. One such ritual, the Pisachi Bandana, gives rise to a powerful guardian named Dhanapisachi, whose disturbance in 1995 leads to catastrophic events for those involved.

Sudheer Babu plays the protagonist Shiva, while Sonakshi Sinha appears as the antagonist Dhanapisachini. Divya Khosla Kumar portrays Sitara, contributing to the ensemble alongside Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, Srinivas Avarsala, Rohit Pathak, Naveen Neni, Rupa Laxmi, Anand Chakrapani, Alekhya, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Pradeep Rawat, Sreedhar Reddy, Kumanan SK, Shankar Mahasta, and child actor NagaChaitanya.

Directed by Venkat Kalyan & Abhishek Jaiswal, the film was written by Venkat Kalyan and produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal, and Nikhil Nanda, with co-producers Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora. Divya Vijay served as the creative producer, while the dialogues were written by Sai Krishna Karne and Shyam Babu Meriga. The Telugu-states theatrical distribution was managed by Ganga Entertainments, with a worldwide release through Zee Studios.
