Sheena Chohan Reveals How She Transformed Into A Fierce Cop
Sheena revealed how she took learning lessons from J.D. Chakravarthy, she said, "I trained extensively, not just in physical combat but in the psychology of law enforcement. Learning from J.D. Chakravarthy was invaluable-he taught me how to carry authority with subtlety. I observed real officers, noting their composure, their silent dominance. Beyond the physicality, I focused on the ethics and presence of a law enforcer, ensuring that every stance and decision reflected the weight of duty. It wasn't just about wearing the uniform-it was about embodying justice itself, something that resonated deeply with me."
Further talking about her role, Sheena revealed on why she chose a fierce role over a glamorous one, "I choose roles that challenge me, not just ones that make me look good. A fierce role like this allows me to push my craft, to break stereotypes. Playing a cop wasn't about power; it was about responsibility and duty. It was about portraying the moral conflict, the human side behind the badge. I've always been drawn to characters with depth, and this was an opportunity to truly transform on screen," she added.
More About Sheena Chohan
Sheena has worked in several critically acclaimed films like The Train, Mukti, Patralekha, Ant Story, Justice, among others. When asked which film left a lasting impression, Sheena told, "Every film leaves an imprint, but Santukaram was the turning point. It demanded an intense emotional and spiritual transformation. Playing Avali, the wife of Sant Tukaram, was not just about historical accuracy but about embodying the essence of devotion, resilience, and sacrifice. It deepened my understanding of silent strength-where emotions had to be conveyed through the subtlest gestures. The role required surrender, patience, and a deep dive into a world far removed from my own. This film refined my ability to live a character, not just play one."
