Written and directed by Radha Krishna Reddy, the film was released in theatres on July 18, 2025, and has collected an estimated ₹5.40 crore net (India) in its first three days across all languages, according to data from Sacnilk.

Over its first three days at the box office, Junior has earned an estimated total of ₹5.40 crore across all languages. The film, released simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada, saw the majority of its earnings from the Telugu version. On its opening day (Friday), it collected ₹1.5 crore, with ₹1.3 crore coming from the Telugu version and ₹0.2 crore from Kannada. Saturday saw a slight rise, with ₹1.8 crore in total-₹1.55 crore from Telugu and ₹0.25 crore from Kannada. According to early estimates, Sunday brought in approximately ₹2.10 crore, continuing the upward trend. The strong contribution from Telugu-speaking regions has played a significant role in driving the film's weekend box office performance.
Junior: Plot and Cast
Junior follows the story of Abhinav (Abhi), a young engineering student hoping to escape the overbearing shadow of his father. During his internship at a software company, Abhi stumbles upon a scam related to CSR documentation, setting off a series of events that not only challenge him personally but also unearth hidden truths about his family.
Kireeti Reddy plays Abhinav, with Sreeleela portraying his college love interest, Spoorthy. Genelia D'Souza features as Vijaya Soujanya, while Ravichandran, Sudha Rani, and Rao Ramesh appear in supporting roles. The cast also includes Achyuth Kumar, Satya, Harsha Chemudu, and a cameo by Brahmanandam in the song "Viral Vayyari."
