Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Update: Producer Aswini Dutt Reveals Exciting Details About The Sequel To Prabhas' Film

Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Update: Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Aswini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, is a Telugu science-fiction film set in a post-apocalyptic future. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, the movie follows a group of characters on a mission to protect the unborn child, Kalki, from the lab subject SUM-80. Set in 2898, the film combines futuristic sci-fi elements with themes drawn from ancient mythology.
Released worldwide on June 27, 2024, Kalki 2898 AD was available in multiple formats, including standard, IMAX, 3D, and 4DX.
In a recent update, producer C. Aswini Dutt confirmed that Prabhas will join the production of Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 starting in June 2025. The announcement has generated significant interest, as fans eagerly anticipate the continuation of this epic saga.
Kalki 2898 AD Cast And Crew
Kalki 2898 AD features a cast including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and others, each contributing to the overall performance of the film.
The crew behind the film includes several professionals who handled various production tasks. Directed by Nag Ashwin, who also wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues, the film was produced by C. Aswini Dutt, with co-producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt. Cinematography was done by Djordje Stojiljkovic, with music composed by Santhosh Narayanan and lyrics by Krishnakanth. Editing was done by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, while production design was managed by Nitin Zihani Choudhary, and additional dialogues were written by Sai Madhav Burra.
The production team also included costume designer Archana Rao, art directors Anil Jadhav, Santosh Shetty, Velu, and Rembon, and VFX creative producer Praveen Kilaru. The stunts were choreographed by King Solomon, Andy Long, Peter Heins, Satish, Anbariv, and Nick Powell. Post-production was handled by THE POST CO., with sound design by RaghuNath Kemisetty and additional sound design by Kingshuk and Anirban. Concept art was created by the Immortal Collective, with Venu Gopal serving as the concept and storyboard artist.
In the marketing and publicity domain, Prasad Bhimanadham led the digital media and marketing efforts with support from a team. Public relations were managed by Vamsi-Shekar, Yuvraj, Venkatesh, Athira, and Sabari, and Tree-Shul Media served as the national publicist.The production team, including finance manager Sushma Atluri and general manager Balaji Mucherla, oversaw the film's production.
