Kannappa Vishnu Manchu s Film Sees Strong Ticket Sales

Kannappa Advance Booking: The upcoming Telugu mythological action drama Kannappa has begun its advance booking, and early signs suggest a strong turnout from audiences. Scheduled for theatrical release on June 27, 2025, the film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. The film is produced by veteran actor Mohan Babu under the banners of Twenty Four Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment.

In a recent social media post, lead actor Vishnu Manchu revealed that the film has sold 115,000 tickets within the first 24 hours of opening advance sales. The update reflects significant interest from the audience ahead of the film's release, especially among fans of action dramas set in mythological worlds. Vishnu wrote, "My heart is racing! To witness this kind of pre-release love and anticipation is truly humbling. This is not just a film. This is all glory to Lord Shiva and #Kannappa. #HarHarMahadev."

Kannappa Revisits A Well-Known Folk Tale With A Star-Studded Cast

The film is based on the legend of Kannappa, a tribal hunter who becomes a devoted follower of Lord Shiva and is best remembered for his self-sacrificial act of offering his eyes to the deity. The story is widely regarded in South Indian folklore and religious traditions, and the film appears to revisit this tale through a modern cinematic lens.

The cast features a mix of established names and cameo appearances, including Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, and Preity Mukhundhan in supporting roles. Notably, the film includes cameos by Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, which are expected to add to its appeal.

Principal photography for Kannappa began in New Zealand in September 2023. The film's music is composed by Stephen Devassy, with additional programming by Al Nishad and Sreerag Suresh. Sound and post-production work, including Dolby Atmos mixing, was carried out at Annapurna Studios.

The film will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English, aligning with the broader trend of pan-Indian releases. With just hours left for its theatrical debut, the advance booking figures suggest that Kannappa may have a robust opening at the box office.

As interest continues to build, all eyes are now on how the film will perform when it reaches cinemas this Friday.
