Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction

Kannappa Box Office Collection Prediction: Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa, the Telugu mythological action drama, officially hit theaters on June 27, 2025, with its release spanning multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, the film is inspired by the tale of Kannappa, a tribal hunter who becomes a devoted follower of Lord Shiva.

The release marks one of the more ambitious mythological projects in recent Telugu cinema, backed by a large ensemble cast and several high-profile cameo appearances. With the morning shows underway, the early box office trends have started to emerge.

Day 1 Box Office Forecast

According to data from industry tracker CineDisco, Kannappa has recorded a modest start in terms of advance bookings. As of Thursday evening, Hyderabad's BookMyShow-tracked gross had crossed approximately ₹1.05 crore with around 37% occupancy. Nationally, the film's Day 1 advance sales stood at ₹4.53 crore across India.

Based on current momentum and factoring in same-day walk-ins, the early prediction for Kannappa's Day 1 global gross stands at approximately ₹13 crore. The overseas market, where the film had premiere shows on June 26, may add a further push to the global tally, although final figures will depend on how the film performs in multiplexes and tier-2 city theaters throughout the day.

About the Film

Kannappa narrates the story of a hunter whose unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva leads him to perform a self-sacrificial act-offering his eyes at the deity's shrine. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role, supported by Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Preity Mukhundhan, and others. The cast also includes cameo appearances by Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, further widening the film's pan-Indian appeal.

The movie was shot primarily in New Zealand, with principal photography beginning in September 2023. The technical crew includes cinematographer Sheldon Chau, editor Anthony Gonsalvez, and music composer Stephen Devassy. Dolby Atmos sound mixing and post-production were handled at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

Take a Poll

As the film moves through its opening day, all eyes will be on its box office performance, especially in regional strongholds and among diaspora audiences abroad. Further updates on occupancy rates and box office figures are expected as the first day progresses.
