Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 1: Indian cinema enthusiasts have been in a celebratory mood as the highly anticipated film Kannappa has finally released. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, this devotional mythological drama is produced by Mohan Babu. To note, Kannappa stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, alongside a stellar cast including Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Siva Balaji, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, Preity Mukhundhan, and Madhoo.

For the uninitiated, Kannappa is inspired by the legendary tale of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva in Hindu mythology. Adding to the excitement, the film features special appearances by renowned actors such as Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal. With its gripping trailer and impressive ensemble, Kannappa has generated significant buzz. The film has been released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English and opened to decent reviews

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kannappa made a collection of Rs 8.95 crores (all languages combined) on day 1 (first Friday).

Kannappa Fails To Beat Kuberaa

Interestingly, Kannappa has failed to beat Dhanush starrer Kuberra on the opening day and minted a little more than half of latter's collection. To note, Kuberaa had made an collection of Rs 14.75 crores on its day of release.

Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction

To note, Kannappa is expected to see a slight hike in numbers today day 2 (first Saturday). The movie is expected to touch Rs 15 crores mark. In fact, it has already earned Rs 1.04 crores today so far at 2 PM.

Meanwhile, talking about Kannappa, Vishnu Manchu told Hollywood Reporter, "All versions tell us what Kannappa's story would've or coudld've been. But the last 30 to 40 minutes of any such film, which cover the portions of God testing him, would be similar because you'll have to follow what's in the scriptures. The most difficult part of doing the film was the fact that everyone knows the ending. The challenge was to see how to make audiences sit for the earlier two and half hours".
