Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 10: Vishnu Manchu's Movie Nears ₹32 Crore Mark In India

Kannappa Box Office Collection: Kannappa, the Telugu epic devotional film featuring Vishnu Manchu in the lead, has completed its 10-day run in theaters. The film, inspired by the legend of Kannappa, has managed to collect an estimated ₹31.84 crore (net) across all languages in India as of its second Sunday (July 6), according to early estimates from box office tracking portal Sacnilk.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and written by Vishnu Manchu, Kannappa was released worldwide on June 27, 2025. The film dramatizes the story of an atheist tribal hunter who transforms into a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, ultimately offering his eyes in an act of extreme devotion.
The opening day collections stood at a strong ₹9.35 crore, with the bulk of the revenue coming from the Telugu-speaking states. While the film saw a drop over its first weekend-falling to ₹7.15 crore on Saturday and ₹6.9 crore on Sunday-it still managed to close the first three days with decent momentum. However, starting Monday (Day 4), the film began to see a significant dip, pulling in ₹2.3 crore, which further declined throughout the weekdays. The first week ended with a total of ₹30.2 crore net.
In its second weekend, the film's earnings dropped sharply. Day 8 (second Friday) brought in just ₹0.45 crore, followed by ₹0.6 crore on Saturday and a marginal drop to ₹0.59 crore on Sunday (Day 10). These numbers suggest that the film is nearing the end of its theatrical run unless it gains a renewed push in smaller centers or through positive word of mouth.
Kannappa: A Star-Studded Devotional Drama
Kannappa features a notable ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Preity Mukhundhan, among others. The film was produced by Mohan Babu under the Twenty Four Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment banners. Cinematography was handled by Sheldon Chau, while music was composed by Stephen Devassy.
The film was also released in dubbed versions in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. As per the available data, the Telugu version alone contributed more than ₹25 crore of the total earnings, while the other language versions saw modest returns.
With a substantial cast and a theme rooted in devotion and mythology, Kannappa entered theaters with considerable anticipation. However, the sharp fall in collections after the opening weekend indicates mixed reception and limited audience retention beyond its core fan base.
The coming week will determine whether Kannappa can cross the ₹35 crore mark domestically or settles around its current total.
