Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 2: Vishnu Manchu's Movie Shows Dip After Decent Opening Day Gross

Kannappa Box Office Collection: Kannappa, the Telugu mythological film starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, experienced a decline in box office earnings on its second day. According to box office tracker Sacnilk, after earning ₹9.35 crore on its opening day across all languages in India, early estimates suggest the film brought in approximately ₹7 crore on Saturday, taking its total domestic net collection to ₹16.35 crore in two days.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and written by Vishnu Manchu, Kannappa is based on the legend of a devotee of Lord Shiva who sacrifices his eyes as a mark of his unwavering devotion. Released globally on June 27, the film includes a star-studded cast with names like Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mohan Babu.
As per Sacnilk, the language-wise breakdown of Day 1 figures shows Telugu leading with ₹8.25 crore, followed by Hindi at ₹0.65 crore. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions contributed ₹0.15 crore, ₹0.1 crore, and ₹0.2 crore, respectively. Data for Day 2 is still being finalized, but the decline suggests the film may rely heavily on weekend momentum and word-of-mouth to sustain its theatrical run.
Production Timeline and Technical Crew Behind the Film
Shot across various locations in New Zealand, the film is produced by Dr. M. Mohan Babu under the banners Twenty Four Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment. The musical score is composed by Stephen Devassy, with additional programming by Al Nishad and Sreerag Suresh. DI and sound mixing were completed at Annapurna Studios. Color consultation was handled by Shiva Kumar BVR, and the sound mix by Kannan Ganapat.
