Kannappa Box Office Collection Day 4: Vishnu Manchu's Mythological Movie Sees Significant Dip In Earnings

Kannappa Day 4 Box Office Collections Dip Sharply

Kannappa Box Office Collection: Kannappa, the mythological devotional drama led by Vishnu Manchu, completed its fourth day in theaters with a notable decline in collections compared to its opening weekend. The film, which was released worldwide on June 27, 2025, has so far grossed an estimated ₹25.90 crore at the Indian box office across all languages, according to data from industry tracker Sacnilk.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, Kannappa brings to the screen the tale of Thinna, a tribal hunter who becomes a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, ultimately offering his own eyes as a gesture of deep faith. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role, with a supporting cast that includes industry veterans such as Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal.

On Day 1 (Friday), the film opened to an estimated ₹9.35 crore, with the Telugu version contributing the lion's share at ₹8.25 crore. The film witnessed a dip on Saturday, collecting ₹7.15 crore, followed by a marginal decrease on Sunday with ₹6.9 crore. However, Monday saw a sharper decline in footfalls, with early estimates placing the Day 4 net collection at around ₹2.50 crore.

Kannappa 4-Day India Net Box Office Report (All Languages):

Day 1 (Friday): ₹9.35 crore

Day 2 (Saturday): ₹7.15 crore

Day 3 (Sunday): ₹6.90 crore

Day 4 (Monday): ₹2.50 crore (early estimate)

Total (4 Days): ₹25.90 crore

While the weekend performance was relatively steady, the significant drop on Monday suggests a cautious outlook for the film's weekday performance. A clearer picture is expected to emerge by the end of the first week.

The film, produced under the Twenty Four Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment banners, features music composed by Stephen Devassy. The soundtrack, as well as the background score, incorporates traditional instruments and orchestration, aligning with the film's mythological tone.

Take a Poll

Principal photography for Kannappa began in September 2023, with significant portions filmed in New Zealand. The film generated buzz ahead of its release, largely due to its ensemble cast and the inclusion of prominent stars such as Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Prabhas in special appearances.

Kannappa has received mixed reviews from critics. Its performance in the coming days will be crucial in determining whether it can maintain momentum beyond the initial weekend.
