Mohanlal Declines Remuneration For Kannappa: On a budget of Rs 200 Crore, Manchu Vishnu's most prestigious movie to date, Kannappa, is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on April 25 this year. The movie is one of the biggest pan-India films with a stellar cast. The movie, which was extensively shot across the picturesque locations of New Zealand, features Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and many other renowned actors from the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries.

Kannappa is a period fantasy action drama about the life of Thinnadu, a non-believer and a hunter in the wild. An incident works like magic on him making him an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. He grows to an extent where he pulls out his eyeballs in pure devotion. Mukesh Kumar Singh is the film's director. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna and G Eshwar Reddy wrote the film's story along with Vishnu Manchu.

Why Mohanlal Refused Salary For Kannappa?

For playing a cameo in a role called Kirata in Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa movie, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal took no remuneration. Concerning Mohan Babu, the veteran, Mohanlal denied salary out of respect, said Manchu Vishnu.

The fantasy action drama stars Vishnu Manchu as Thinnadu, Mohan Babu as Mahadeva Shastri, R Sarathkumar as Nathanathudu, Madhoo as Pannaga, Mukesh Rishi as Kampadu, Brahmaji as Gavvaraju, Karunas as Veera, Brahmanandam as Pilaka, Raghu Babu, Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran, Preity Mukkhundhan, Devaraj as Mundadu, Lavi Pajni as Bebbuli, Siva Balaji, Achyuth Kumar, Arpit Ranka, Sampath Ram, Saurav Lokesh, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Surekha Vani, and Saptagiri among others played important roles. In addition, Prabhas as Rudra, Akshay Kumar as Shiva, and Mohanlal as Kirata played cameos.

Helmed under the banners AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, the movie's entire music and score was composed by Stephen Devassy. Anthony worked as the film's editor and Sheldon Chau cranked the camera.
