Manchu Vishnu's high-budget, star-studded, and prestigious film of his entire career, Kannappa, a fantasy action entertainer set against a mythological background, is currently in post-production. The movie is going to hit the screens worldwide in five languages on April 25.

The movie boasts of renowned actors and veterans who are continuing to rule the roost in Kollywood, Mollywood, and Bollywood, apart from Tollywood. Along with Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, and Sarathkumar among many others are part of the film. However, there is an interesting aspect of this big-budget film which is being funded by Manchu Vishnu and Mohan Babu under their own banners.

Kannappa was conceived as a pan-India film and completed more than 80% of its shooting in a single schedule at New Zealand. The required props, sets, and other material for shooting of the film have been sent in several containers and shipped to the country where the natural landscape was utilized to bring the period backdrop.

When the film's teaser was released, Manchu Vishnu as well as the glimpse met harsh criticism for the graphics and its over-the-top natural green cover, which made it look like an advertisement. The teaser was trolled brutally. However, the recently released 'Shivaya' song turned tables for this Vishnu Manchu-starrer. Lot of appreciation is pouring in for the film after the lyric video was dropped.

Prabhas Takes No Remuneration!

Reportedly, Prabhas did not accept any remuneration for playing 'Rudra' in Kannappa and was more than happy to be part of the film. It was because of his fondness and respect for Mohan Babu, revealed Vishnu.

The movie stars Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmaji, Karunas, Brahmanandam, Yogi Babu, Raghu Babu, Aishwaryaa Bhaskaran, Preity Mukhundhan, Devaraj, Siva Balaji, Achyuth Kumar, Arpit Ranka, P Sai Kumar, Saptagiri, Rahul Ramakrishna, Saurav Lokesh, and Kajal Aggarwal among others played pivotal roles.

Produced by Mohan Babu on a budget of about Rs 150 Crore under the AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory banners, Kannappa movie's cinematography was done by Sheldon Chau and Anthony worked as the editor. Stephen Devassy is working on the entire music and score. Despite being made on their home banners, Lakshmi Manchu and Manoj are not part of the film's cast.
