Kingdom Box Office Collection Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Day 1: Vijay Deverakonda's Biggest Opening Yet

Kingdom Box Office Collection: Vijay Deverakonda's much-anticipated Telugu film Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, opened to a solid start in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its first day. According to data from box office tracker TollywoodBoxoffice, the film registered a combined regional share of ₹11.38 crore across the two Telugu-speaking states.

Kingdom, a spy action drama and the first installment in a planned duology, was released in cinemas worldwide on July 31. In the Telugu states, the film performed especially well in urban centers. According to TollywoodBoxoffice, the Nizam area alone contributed ₹4.96 crore, followed by ₹1.70 crore from Ceeded, and ₹1.36 crore from the UA (Uttarandhra) region. Other territorial breakdowns include East Godavari (₹87 lakh), West Godavari (₹52 lakh), Guntur (₹88 lakh), Krishna (₹69 lakh), and Nellore (₹40 lakh).

This marks the biggest Day 1 collection for Vijay Deverakonda in the Telugu states, surpassing his previous openings with Kushi and Liger. Among Tier 2 heroes, Kingdom currently holds the third spot in terms of opening day shares in AP and TS, behind Dasara (₹14.11 crore) and HIT 3 (₹13.01 crore). Notably, Kingdom achieved this feat on a non-holiday release date.

In the Nizam region, which is often a bellwether for commercial Telugu cinema, Kingdom ranks fourth in Tier 2 hero debuts, behind Dasara, Kushi, and HIT 3. The film also made an impression in smaller urban pockets like Karimnagar, where it grossed ₹13.6 lakh on its opening day.

All Eyes Now on Kingdom's Weekend Trend

Directed by Jersey filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom is produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film also stars Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse in key roles. The production was in the making for over two years, with filming carried out across multiple locations, including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala, and Sri Lanka.

The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John. Editing is handled by Naveen Nooli. The film was officially titled Kingdom in February 2025, having been earlier referred to as VD12 during its development phase.

With early numbers signaling a strong start in the Telugu market, attention now shifts to how Kingdom performs over the weekend and whether it can sustain momentum beyond the initial buzz.
