Kingdom Box Office Collection Day 1: How Did Vijay Deverakonda's Action Thriller Perform On Opening Day?

Kingdom Box Office Collection: Vijay Deverakonda's much-anticipated Telugu film Kingdom made its theatrical debut on July 31, 2025, and early estimates from box office tracking firm Sacnilk suggest that the film collected ₹15.75 crore net across India on its opening day. The bulk of the revenue came from the Telugu version, which contributed approximately ₹15.5 crore, while the Tamil dubbed version added a modest ₹0.25 crore.

From VD12 to Kingdom: A Two-Year Journey to the Big Screen

Produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, the film was in the making for over two years before finally hitting screens worldwide.

Kingdom marks the beginning of a planned duology and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for Jersey. The film features Vijay Deverakonda alongside Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse in prominent roles. Venkitesh V. P., Ayyappa P. Sharma, Posani Krishna Murali, Goparaju Ramana, Manish Chaudhari, Baburaj, Sudharshan, and others play important supporting roles.

The project, initially referred to as VD12, received its official title, Kingdom, in February 2025. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who previously collaborated with Tinnanuri on Jersey.

The film's cinematography was handled by Girish Gangadharan along with Jomon T. John, while editing duties were taken up by Naveen Nooli. Avinash Kolla served as the production designer, and Neeraja Kona designed the costumes. The action sequences were choreographed by Yannick Ben, Chethan D'Souza, and Real Satish, with sound design by Sync Cinema and audiography by Vinay Sridhar. Visual effects were overseen by VFX supervisor Vasudeva Rao M., and the color grading was done by Ranga.

In terms of box office trajectory, Kingdom's opening day figures place it in a strong position, but the film's performance over the weekend will be crucial in determining its long-term prospects.
