Kingdom First Review: Vijay Deverakonda has been making headlines recently, and for good reason. After all, his eagerly awaited film, Kingdom, is set to premiere in cinemas this week. This spy action thriller aims for a significant release not only in India but globally. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, Kingdom is planned as the first part of a two-part series. Alongside Vijay Deverakonda, the film also stars Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse in pivotal roles and has emerged as one of the most anticipated releases of the year
Kingdom represents Vijay's debut film release of the year, generating substantial excitement among audiences. He was last seen in the 2024 release The Family Star. Additionally, this movie marks Gowtam Tinnanuri's return to directing after a three-year hiatus. His previous directorial venture was Shahid Kapoor's Jersey. The film's star-studded cast and intriguing trailer have captured widespread attention. Interestingly, Kingdom will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages and will be releasing in Hindi on July 31, 2025. Taking to social media, actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhvi shared the censor board screening review of Kingdom and stated that it's a masterpiece by director Gowtam Tinnanuri which is 'Electrifying, gripping & emotionally rich, a tremendous cinematic ride". He wrote, "This film is a perfect blend of massy entertainment and meaningful storytelling loaded with fire, emotion and purpose. It's a gripping tale of betrayal, revenge, rebellion and redemption. Every twist feels earned. The tight screenplay keeps you glued - there's no dull moment. With sharp political undertones and emotional weight the film holds up a mirror to society while entertaining at full throttle".
Kuldeep further emphasised, "Vijay Deverakonda delivers his most powerful performances to date. Whether it's roaring speeches or emotionally vulnerable scenes, he sets the screen ablaze. Direction by Goutam Tinnanuri is solid, nuanced and elevated - proving yet again that he's a storyteller of depth and vision. Interestingly, Kuldeep Gadhvi gave Kingdom a rating of 4.5 stars and emphasised, "Kingdom isn't just a movie, it's a revolution on screen. Vijay Deverakonda's fiery comeback and Gowtam Tinnanuri's masterstroke direction ignite a cinematic storm".
Meanwhile, Vijay's rumoured ladylove Rashmika Mandanna had expressed her excitement over Kingdom release and tweeted, "I can't wait for the 31st now!
