Kuberaa: Sekhar Kammula Directs A Bilingual Thriller
Kuberaa tells the story of Deva, a man unknowingly caught in a high-stakes conspiracy involving a secret oil reserve in the Bay of Bengal. When a corrupt businessman backed by political interests sets up a covert mission using a group of unsuspecting beggars, Deva's escape from the trap sparks a manhunt. His journey intersects with Sameera, a woman facing her own crisis, leading to a survival-driven narrative that unfolds across cityscapes.
The film is directed by Sekhar Kammula and co-written with Chaithanya Pingali. Kuberaa is backed by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, with Devi Sri Prasad handling the soundtrack and Niketh Bommireddy in charge of cinematography. Production design is handled by Thota Tharani, and Karthika Srinivas serves as the editor.
With a solid weekend start, all eyes are now on how the film will perform during its extended run, especially as word-of-mouth and overseas numbers begin to reflect its reach. The Sunday collection will be closely watched to assess its hold.
