Kuberaa Pre-Release Event Postponed: The pre-release event of the upcoming multilingual film Kuberaa, originally scheduled for June 13, has been postponed. The decision was announced by the film's team through an official social media post, citing respect and solidarity in the wake of the tragic Ahmedabad flight crash that occurred today. The event, which was to include the unveiling of the film's trailer, has been postponed; a new date is yet to be announced.

A tragic Air India plane crash occurred near Ahmedabad airport on Thursday afternoon. The aircraft, bound for London with 242 people on board, crashed during takeoff. According to reports, only one passenger has survived.

Kuberaa stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna; trailer launch delayed

Kuberaa, directed and co-written by Sekhar Kammula features a prominent ensemble cast led by Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil. The film is jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, with Sonali Narang presenting.

The project was first announced in June 2021 under the working title D51, marking Dhanush's 51st appearance in a lead role. It was later informally referred to as DNS-a nod to Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Sekhar-after Nagarjuna joined the cast. Principal photography began in February 2024, and the official title, Kuberaa, was confirmed the following month.

The technical crew includes several experienced names: cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy, editing by Karthika Srinivas R, and production design by Thota Tharani. Action choreography is handled by 'Stunts' Sree, while Sekhar VJ has led the dance choreography.

The music for Kuberaa is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, marking his third collaboration with Dhanush and his first with Sekhar Kammula. The film's teaser, titled Trance of Kuberaa, was released on May 25 and provided an initial glimpse into the film's visual tone.

With the theatrical release set for June 20, the trailer was expected to offer audiences a clearer sense of the film's storyline and characters. However, in light of the recent tragedy, the makers have opted to delay promotional activities as a mark of respect. A new date for the trailer launch is expected to be announced soon.
