Laila OTT Release Date Update & Platform: Tollywood's one of the promising young actors, Vishwak Sen, has been choosing scripts that aren't working in his favour, of late. Added to his attitude in public, things are not at all favourable for the actor who once delivered successful films at the box office. His latest release, a romantic comedy entertainer titled 'Laila,' written and directed by Ram Narayan, hit the screens on February 7 worldwide.

The pre-release buzz was pretty good for Laila but after the infamous pre-release event where a political remark completely changed the scenario of Laila, the movie has faced severe negativity on social media platforms. There were over 110K tweets under the hashtag 'Boycott Laila' and over 50K tweets under the hashtag 'DisasterLaila.' A group of netizens who are ardent supporters of a political party have reacted publicly about the remarks actor Prudhvi made during the event.

Taking the damage further is the sloppy handling of Laila by the writer-director. The movie opened to negative and bad reviews from the critics and audiences alike. The movie's box office collection was also poor.

Laila Synopsis
Sonu (Vishwak Sen) is a wanna-be model who works as a hairdresser in his own studio. He is one of the most sought-after by the women in his area. Sonu's brush-off with local goon Rustum (Abhimanyu Singh) and SI Shankar (Babloo Prithviraj) prompts him to take cover. Sonu then decides to change his identity to a woman named Laila. What Happens Next, is all about the romantic comedy entertainer Laila.

Laila To Stream EARLY On Prime Video

Given the box office performance and reviews that Vishwak Sen's latest film garnered, the movie's digital streaming debut is likely to be advanced. The leading OTT giant Prime Video had secured the rights and will make a decision on the streaming date very soon. If the buzz is to be believed, Vishwak Sen's Laila will start streaming on the prime video from the last week of February. The official date of release will be announced shortly.

The movie stars Vishwak Sen in two roles- Sonu Model and Laila. In addition, the romantic entertainer has Aakanksha Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Ravi Mariya, Nagineedu, Harsha Vardhan, Brahmaji, Babloo Prithveeraj, Raghu Babu, Abhimanyu Singh, and Vineet Kumar among others in key roles.

Written by Vasudeva Murthy, the movie was directed by Ram Narayan. Sahu Garapati produced it under the Shine Screens banner. Richard Prasad and Sagar Dadi worked as the film's cinematographer and editor. Leon James composed the film's entire background score and music.
