Going by the film's trailer, Laila comes across as the story of a wanna-be model Sonu, who works as a hairdresser. His courageous rift with a local rowdy makes him a target. As many groups begin to hunt him down, he changes his getup into a woman named Laila, thereby luring everyone who are looking to kill Sonu.
