Laila Theatrical Business Value: Vishwak Sen Gears Up With A Romcom; Break-even Target Is THIS MUCH
Laila Pre-release Business Details: Vishwak Sen is going to enthral his fans and Tollywood movie buffs with his female getup as 'Laila' in the upcoming romantic action-comedy titled Laila. The movie features him in two characters -Sonu Model and Laila- which is going to hit the screens worldwide on February 14. Directed by Ram Narayan, the movie's theatrical trailer amplified the expectations on the film bankrolled by Sahu Garapati. Reportedly, the makers spent about Rs 35 Crore for the production of Laila.
Speaking about Laila, Vishwak Sen said, "I wanted to try different roles and films like Bhamane Satyabhamane, Madam, Chithram Bhalare Vichitram, and Remo gave me an impression that it is fun. This movie is for the current generation who didn't know Rajendra Prasad's 'Madam' and VK Naresh's 'Chithram Bhalare Vichithram.' Laila is the only film where a mainstream hero played a female character after two decades.
Laila Synopsis
Going by the film's trailer, Laila comes across as the story of a wanna-be model Sonu, who works as a hairdresser. His courageous rift with a local rowdy makes him a target. As many groups begin to hunt him down, he changes his getup into a woman named Laila, thereby luring everyone who are looking to kill Sonu.

The total pre-release theatrical business of Vishwak Sen's Laila was as decent as his previous films - Mechanic Rocky and Gangs of Godavari. The negative campaign and the theatrical trailer of Laila generated good pre-release buzz for the film ahead of its theatrical debut.
