Mayasabha OTT Release: The Telugu political drama Mayasabha: Rise of the Titans is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV on August 7, 2025, and has already generated significant anticipation. Directed by Deva Katta and Kiran Jay Kumar, the web series explores the evolution of political dynamics in undivided Andhra Pradesh through the lens of two fictional characters whose trajectories mirror some of the most influential figures in the region's political history.

Mayasabha follows the story of two childhood friends, Kakarla Krishnam Naidu, played by Aadhi Pinisetty, and MS Rami Reddy, portrayed by Chaitanya Rao Madadi, who eventually become political rivals in the turbulent landscape of the mid-1990s. The characters' mannerisms and political journeys have drawn comparisons with late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. However, according to a report by The Hindu, the makers have clarified that the series is a fictional account inspired by real events, rather than a biographical retelling.

Political Drama Mayasabha Set For August 7 Release On SonyLIV

The series was originally conceived as a feature film but was adapted into a web series format during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a report by 123telugu, at the trailer launch event held in Hyderabad on August 1, Deva Katta described Mayasabha as a "beautiful imagination" rooted in themes of friendship, ambition, and ideological divergence. He noted that the production team managed to shoot content equivalent to three feature films within a tight 90-day schedule.

The trailer, which premiered on July 31, hinted at a high-stakes political drama infused with betrayal, leadership struggles, and shifting loyalties. The tagline accompanying the trailer reads, "A friendship tested by ambition. A rivalry that redefined leadership. A story that changed the fate of a state."

The cast also includes Sai Kumar, Divya Dutta, Nassar, Srikanth Iyengar, Ravindra Vijay, Shatru, and Tanya Ravichandran. Produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni and Sree Harsha, the series will be available not just in Telugu but also in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, further expanding its reach across linguistic boundaries.

Mayasabha will begin streaming on SonyLIV from August 7, marking another significant entry in the platform's growing regional content portfolio.
