Mirai OTT and Satellite Rights: The upcoming Telugu action-adventure film Mirai, headlined by Teja Sajja and directed by Karthik Gattamneni, has already created waves in the industry ahead of its theatrical release. According to reports by CineJosh and OTTPlay, the film's non-theatrical rights have been acquired for a substantial amount, placing it among the most talked-about projects in the current Telugu film slate.

As per the reports, the digital streaming rights for Mirai have been bagged by Jio Hotstar for a high price, while Star Network has secured the satellite rights. The overall value of the non-theatrical deal, including audio rights, acquired by TIPS Music is reported to be over ₹50 crore. This acquisition is seen as a major boost for the film, which is being produced under the People Media Factory banner by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad.

Superhero Fantasy Film Set for September Release

Mirai, set for release on September 5, 2025, features Teja Sajja in the lead role and Manchu Manoj as the antagonist. The fantasy-action film, centered around a superhero narrative, also stars Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendranath Zutshi, Pawan Chopra, and Tanja Keller. The music and lyrics are composed by GowraHari.

Following the massive success of HanuMan, Teja Sajja's popularity has seen a significant rise. However, instead of taking on numerous projects post-success, he has opted to be selective, with Mirai being one of his most awaited ventures. Director Karthik Gattamneni, known for his previous work as a cinematographer and for helming Eagle, is back in the director's chair for this film.

The teaser released earlier this year received a positive response, setting expectations high. Reports from OTTPlay indicate that while initial production concerns about budget overruns existed, the sale of non-theatrical rights appears to have eased those pressures.

The remaining shoot is reportedly progressing with the goal of meeting the film's release schedule. The film is expected to be VFX-heavy, with the visual effects playing a key role in the narrative and presentation. Manchu Manoj's return to the screen following Bhairavam has also added to the anticipation, especially given the response to his appearance in the teaser.

With a high-budget superhero premise, strong cast lineup, and a lucrative non-theatrical rights deal in place, Mirai is shaping up to be a high-stakes release this September.
