Murari 4K Re-Release: The Telugu drama Murari, starring Mahesh Babu, is set for a 4K re-release on December 31, 2025, coinciding with New Year celebrations. The film, directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced under the banner of Ram Prasad Arts, originally released on February 17, 2001, and featured Mahesh Babu alongside Sonali Bendre, Prakash Raj, Lakshmi, Ravi Babu, Kaikala Satyanarayana, and Gollapudi Maruthi Rao.

Murari centers on the youngest heir of a zamindar family, whose male members have been affected by a generational curse every forty-eight years. The storyline explores Murari navigating familial responsibilities, traditions, and personal relationships, including a romantic connection with Vasundhara, a visitor from another household. The narrative unfolds with a series of challenges, misunderstandings, and family interactions, with Murari confronting the curse while balancing love and duty.

The film's technical crew includes cinematography by C. Ram Prasad, music composed by Mani Sharma, and editing by Krishna Vamsi. The film marks the Telugu debut of Sonali Bendre and the first work of action choreographer Peter Hein in Telugu. It is also notable for being the final film appearance of veteran actor Dhulipala.

Murari received critical recognition during its original run, winning three Nandi Awards, including Second Best Feature Film, and garnered commercial success at the box office. Murari was earlier re-released on the occasion of Mahesh Babu's 49th birthday on August 9. As the film returns in upgraded 4K quality, audiences can expect the original blend of family drama, romance, and action.
