Odela 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection On Opening Day: Tamannaah's Supernatural Flick Makes Rs 1.5 Crore

Odela 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: With Tamannaah as the lead in the role of a Shiva Shakthi, filmmaker Sampath Nandi's latest sequel titled Odela 2, a sequel to Odela Railway Station, was released amid high expectations on April 17 worldwide. For Tamannaah's pan-India popularity, the filmmakers released the supernatural thriller in multiple languages. Upon its theatrical debut, Odela 2 movie earned largely mixed to negative reviews for its run-of-the-mill story and treatment.

Filmmakers claimed that the movie was made with Rs 25 Crore budget and earned Rs 10 Crore from the theatrical rights and another Rs 18 Crore from the digital rights ahead of the movie's release. The OTT rights are secured by Amazon Prime Video.

Odela 2 Synopsis

In Odela village, Tirupati (Vassishta Simha) abducts and kills newly married women after the day of their marriage. Radha, his wife (Hebah Patel) finds out about this and beheads him. She surrenders to the police. In the sequel, Tirupati is seen becoming a malevolent spirit who continues to torment the villagers after his death. Shiva Shakthi (Tamannaah), who is a devotee of Lord Shiva and lives the life of an Aghora enters Odela village and faces the evil spirit of Tirupati.

On its release day, Tamannaah-starrer supernatural thriller made about Rs 1.50 Crore from all languages in India, according to the Sacnilk website. With negative reviews hindering the film's weekend performance coupled with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanthi's 'Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi,' it is a tough time for Tamannaah's Odela 2 to get a footing at the box office. Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi is expected to majorly eat into the movie's collection.
