Pawan Kalyan's Wife Tonsures Head At Tirumala: Following the event of their 7-year-old son surviving with minor injuries from a fire mishap at school in Singapore, power star Pawan Kalyan, the deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh State, rushed to the country to attend to his father duties. After initial treatment, the couple brought Mark Shankar Pawanovich back to India for close monitoring and continuous support. The actor is back to his work but Anna Lezhneva made it a point to visit Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam at the Tirumala Tirupati on April 13 (Sunday). She offered her hair to the presiding deity and posed with a tonsured head as she took the blessings during the break VIP darshanam.

Pawan Kalyan's official statement from his Jana Sena Party states, "In keeping with tradition, Anna offered her hair at Padmavati Kalyana Katta and participated in rituals." Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) also clarified that, Anna, a Russian Orthodox Christian, signed a declaration form at Gayatri Sadan in the presence of temple officials, affirming her faith in Venkateswara Swamy before visiting the temple and participating in the rituals. Later, she also visited the temple to seek blessings from the lord.

On April 8, news about Mark Shankar Pawanovich's fire accident broke out causing a sensation in Tollywood and Andhra political circles. The movie star-turned-politician who was in a public meeting at Araku, Visakhapatnam flew to Singapore immediately. The school in which Mark was enrolled in Singapore had a problem with the circuit. The child suffered minor burns on his hands and legs along with inhaling the smoke. He was admitted to the ICU at a hospital where he recovered. Later, he was flown to India by his mother and mother. When Mark was admitted to the hospital in Singapore, megastar Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan's elder brother, paid a visit along with his wife Surekha.
