Robinhood Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Nithiin-Sreeleela's Action-Comedy Gears Up For A Good Run

Robinhood Box Office Collection Day 1: Written and directed by Venky Kudumula in his second collaboration with Nithiin,'Robinhood' is the latest action heist comedy movie which hit the screens amid decent expectations and hype on March 28. The movie stars Sreeleela as the female lead and features the epic cameo of Australian Cricketer, David Warner. Bankrolled by the Mythri Movie Makers, Robinhood movie was released to compete with the MAD Square movie.

Nithiin's Robinhood movie was supposed to hit the screens earlier for last year's Christmas but the filmmakers let the date go to avoid a clash with other big-budget and star-studded films for more visibility. The movie conceived as 'VNRTrio' referring to Rashmika Mandanna along with Nithiin and Venky Kudumula, was then changed as Sreeleela replaced the female lead's role.

On the other hand, Nithiin's last box office success was a long five years ago and the actor is determined to come back strong. He and the entire team of Robinhood exuded confidence in the film's performance and pinned big hopes.

Robinhood and MAD Square opened the crucial big summer holiday season for Tollywood. The collaboration was expected to recreate the magic of 'Bheeshma.' Robinhood movie came to the big screens after a long time and the movie is aimed at the Ugadi festival weekend release. After the movie premiered, fans of the actors, critics, and movie buffs who watched it opined that the movie has its trademark Venky Kudumula-style entertainment and treatment. They cannot help but think of the director's previous films 'Chalo' and 'Bheeshma.'

In Robinhood, Nithiin is seen in a refreshing avatar and his ease never fails to impress. His performance in its entirety including the dialogues, comedy-timing, expressions, and action scenes looked effortless and the young actor nailed the role of Ram aka Robinhood. His scenes with Sreeleela and Rajendra Prasad are said to have come out very well, rounding up the movie. Sreeleela also showcased better acting skills other than the usual dance moves, opined the critics.

According to the Sacnilk website, the opening day estimates for Nithiin's Robinhood movie are around Rs 1 Crore. The numbers are tentative and are subject to change every two hours. The occupancy ratio is decent for Robinhood (19.62%) but not as good as the movie MAD Square. However, with good positive word-of-mouth, Robinhood is expected to pick pace over the weekend.

However, the movie has its downsides. The screenplay lacks intensity and gradually slows down. The lack of characters in the second half from the first half brings a coherence issue. The characterization of the villain towards the end feels silly and the second half misses out on the fun.

Robinhood Synopsis

An orphan himself, Ram (Nithiin) is a modern-day Robinhood (Thief) who loots from the rich and distributes among the orphans. Devadatta Nage does illegal business of marijuana and in a bid to expand it to the international level, he finds out that Rudrakonda village has a special variety. Meanwhile, Neera Vasudev (Sreeleela) lands in India and goes to Rudrakonda with Ram as an escort. What is the connection between AV Pharma and Rudrakonda village? How is the mafia kingpin David (David Warner) connected to this?

The movie stars Nithiin as Robinhood, Sreeleela as Neera Vasudev, Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage, Shine Tom Chacko, Aadukalam Naren, Keshav Deepak, and Mime Gopi in key roles. Ketika Sharma sizzled in an item song called 'Adhi Dha Surprisu.'

GV Prakash Kumar is the film's music composer and Sai Sriram worked as the cinematographer. Koti worked as the editor while Ram-Laxman composed the action sequences. Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar of the Mythri Movie Makers are funding this project.
