Sankranthiki Vasthunam Box Office Collection Day 1 Early Updates: Veteran Telugu star Venkatesh is back on big screens with the highly-anticipated family crime-comedy drama 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam'. Coincidentally, it's Makar Sankranthi today. Amid high buzz, the Venkatesh starrer positive opening was already anticipated. Matching up to the hype, Sankranthiki Vasthunam kickstarted its theatrical journey on an impressive note.

Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Sankranthiki Vasthunam revolves around the story of a happy and content married couple whose life takes a chaotic turn when the male lead's ex partner enters his life seeking help to crack a kidnapping case. Venkatesh Daggubati and Aishwarya Rajesh play the role of a married couple, while Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the ex.

The family crime-comedy drama also features Sai Kumar, Naresh, VTV Ganesh, Upendra Limaye, Prithviraj and Sai Srinivas among others as the supporting cast.

Mounted on an estimated budget of Rs 50 cr, the Telugu-language entertainer is benefitting hugely from the Sankranti holiday. According to the latest Sacnilk updates, the movie kickstarted its theatrical journey on a solid note, raking in Rs 10.65 cr approx. on day 1 (today) till 4:40 pm. As per the same report, the movie had 70.06% occupancy in morning shows and 92.67% occupancy in afternoon shows. Given the current buzz, the movie is likely to see a noticeable hike in footfalls in evening and night shows.

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti holiday, Venkatesh starrer family crime-comedy has scored more than double of Ram Charan's political-thriller titled Game Changer.

According to the latest Sacnilk updates, Game Changer has managed to rake in Rs 4.32 cr till 4:40 pm (today), while Sankranthiki Vasthunam's current numbers are at Rs 10.65 cr.
