SSMB 29 Shooting Update: Mahesh Babu & Priyanka Chopra Start Filming; SS Rajamouli Shares Interesting Video

SSMB29 Shooting Begins: Amid anticipation, heavy and lengthy pre-production phase, superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming prestigious film of his career, which is a collaboration with ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli, kickstarted. Referred to as SSMB 29, the globe-trotting adventure drama went on floors on January 24 with Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the female lead. The superstar is going to be seen in a never-seen-before character and role for which SS Rajamouli had zeroed in on eight looks.

After rumours about Priyanka Chopra's inclusion in this exciting project, her Chilkur Balaji temple visit in Hyderabad confirmed the news for everyone. The actress's pairing opposite Mahesh Babu will not only take the movie to global audiences but will also look fresh with so much to look forward. In addition, as SS Rajamouli shared an interesting video (see the post below) about the update, both Mahesh Babu and PC have reacted to it. While Mahesh commented "Okkasaari commit ayithe naa maata nene vinanu.... 😉, (sic), Priyanka Chopra said, "Finally.."

SSMB 29 Is Garuda?

By now, every movie buff is aware of the film's genre and the scale. Mahesh Babu will be seen in various avatars and will shoot at several countries for SSMB 29. The adventure thriller on the lines of Indiana Jones will likely be titled 'Garuda.' This is just speculative.

Sri Durga Arts banner, helmed by KS Ramarao, has earmarked about Rs 1000 Crore for the production of SSMB 29. Following a launch ceremony at the Aluminum Factory in Hyderabad, the regular shooting just kickstarted. The team will reportedly shoot at a specially erected set in RFC. The movie also uses heavy VFX and CGI, and over a year has been dedicated to its post-production works alone.

Rajamouli is keen on the movie's scale and its larger-than-life reach which prompts him to cast well-known actors from across the country. While Priyanka Chopra Jonas is cast for the female lead's role, actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran was also roped in for a pivotal character. MM Keeravani will compose the music and score for the movie written by Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli's father.
