Subham First Review
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Venky Reviews called Subham an horror comedy with concept which fails to live up to the mark and gave the movie 2.25 stars. The tweet read as, "#Subham An interesting horror-comedy concept that had potential but falters in execution!
The first half shows some promise in its setup with a few comedy scenes that work and an interesting interval twist. However, the second half falters significantly and goes nowhere.
The film's biggest issue is that it runs on a single thread, and the horror-comedy, which feels fresh in the beginning, gets repetitive and tiring towards the end. The pacing is slow for the most part.
The entire cast performed their roles well. The director showed some promise with the writing in the initial portions but fails to capitalize, leaving us with not much to take home. Not up to the mark!"
Meanwhile, Samantha opened up about her debut production and told media during promotions, "As an actress, I know what a Friday feels like. But this is my first Friday as a producer. I'm extremely nervous. I've spent sleepless nights over the past week. Subham has turned out very well. It has a solid story, and I have a lot of faith in this film"
