Telugu Singer Kalpana Suicide Attempt Reason: Singer Kalpana, who has worked with renowned music directors like Ilaiyaraaja, Koti, and AR Rahman, has reportedly attempted suicide. The renowned singer and former Bigg Boss Telugu 1 contestant is now under medical treatment after being rescued by the police and neighbours. According to the reports, her condition is now stable after ventilation support.

The singer was found unconscious after police made an attempt to enter into her home after neighbours alerted that the singer hasn't opened her door for two days. Later, Kalpana was found laying in an unconscious state after police broke the door with assistance. The singer was immediately rushed to hospital where initial speculation suggested the singer of consuming sleeping pills.

Several reports claimed that Kalpana tried to take her life after a heated argument with her daughter in Kerala. The argument emerged when Kalpana requested her daughter to come to Hyderabad from Kerala to study and she refused. Kalpana's husband, who was in Chennai when the incident happened, is reportedly taken into custody after the incident took place for questioning.

Kalpana's mother Sulochana is also a singer. Kalpana has started her singing career at the age of five and she has recorded more than over 1500 tracks as of 2013. She was also the winner of south Indian singing show Star Singer season 5, conducted by Malayalam TV Channel Asianet.
