Thammudu Box Office Collection Day 3: Nithiin's Action Drama Closes Opening Weekend On A Moderate Note

Thammudu Box Office Collection: Nithiin's latest film, Thammudu, which hit the big screens on July 4, has completed its first weekend at the domestic box office with a total net collection of approximately ₹4.34 crore, as per early estimates from box office tracking portal Sacnilk.

Despite releasing with considerable buzz and under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film opened to largely negative reviews, which seem to have impacted its box office momentum. Directed by Sriram Venu, Thammudu saw a decent opening on Friday, collecting ₹1.9 crore. However, Saturday saw a notable dip of nearly 39%, with earnings reportedly dropping to ₹1.16 crore. Sunday offered a slight recovery, as collections rose by around 10% to an estimated ₹1.28 crore, taking the three-day total to ₹4.34 crore.

Action Drama Anchored by Brother-Sister Bond

As described by the makers, Thammudu is an emotional action drama that explores the strong bond between a brother and his sister. The narrative follows the brother's determination to safeguard his sister as they face unexpected challenges, with the story highlighting his sacrifices and resilience through various misunderstandings and emotional hardships.

Thammudu features Nithiin in the lead role, supported by a cast that includes Sapthami Gowda, Laya, and Varsha Bollamma in key roles. The ensemble also comprises Saurabh Sachdeva, Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, and Chammak Chandra, among others.

Thammudu opened to negative reviews but managed to earn ₹4.34 crore (India net) over its first weekend, according to early estimates. The film's weekday performance will be key in determining its overall theatrical run, especially given the critical reception.

Backed by producers Dil Raju and Shirish and presented by Smt. Anitha, the film features music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Cinematography duties were shared by K.V. Guhan, Sameer Reddy, and Setu, while editing was handled by Sh Prawin Pudi.

With its initial momentum in place, Thammudu now faces the test of sustaining audience interest beyond the weekend, which will ultimately shape its box office trajectory in the coming days.
