Thammudu Box Office Collection Day 4: Nithiin's Film Sees Decline In Earnings, Crosses ₹5 Crore Mark In India

Thammudu Box Office Collection: Thammudu, the latest Telugu drama featuring Nithiin in the lead role, wrapped up its first four days at the box office with a total estimated India net collection of ₹5.01 crore, as per data provided by Sacnilk. The film, which opened in cinemas on July 4, experienced a decline in earnings after its opening day, reflecting a mixed response from the audience.
The movie, directed by Sriram Venu and produced under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner by Dil Raju and Shirish, had a relatively strong start, earning ₹1.9 crore on its opening Friday. However, the momentum was not sustained over the weekend. On Saturday, collections dropped by nearly 39% to ₹1.16 crore, followed by a slight recovery on Sunday with ₹1.28 crore. Monday witnessed another significant dip of approximately 48%, pulling in only ₹0.67 crore, a figure not uncommon for post-weekend weekdays but still a clear signal of weakening traction.
Strong Cast, Weak Reception: Thammudu Struggles to Make Impact
Despite its promotional effort and a notable ensemble cast, including Laya, Sapthami Gowda, and Varsha Bollamma, among others, the film has not managed to make a strong impression critically or commercially. Early reviews have mostly leaned negative, with criticisms directed at the screenplay and execution, despite the emotional premise centered around a brother-sister relationship.
Thammudu, according to the makers, is an action drama that explores the deep bond shared between a brother and his sister. As they face unforeseen challenges, the narrative highlights the brother's steadfast commitment to safeguarding his sister, even if it means enduring emotional hardships and making personal sacrifices.
Though intended as an emotional action drama, the reception suggests that the narrative may not have resonated as hoped with viewers.
Technical contributions came from a crew, including cinematographers K.V Guhan, Sameer Reddy, and Setu; editor Sh Prawin Pudi; and composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath.
With weekday numbers now coming in, it remains to be seen whether Thammudu can stabilize its earnings over the next few days or if the declining trend continues. The upcoming weekend will be crucial in determining whether the film can recover ground or fade out early from the theatrical race.
