Thandel Advance Booking Day 1: Flat Ticket Sales For Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi's Hyped Romantic Film

Day 1 Advance Bookings For Thandel Begin On A Dull Note: Thandel is the latest romantic film co-written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The movie is going to hit the screens worldwide on February 7 with early USA premieres slated for February 6. Thandel movie is expected to change the fate of Naga Chaitanya if it earns positive response and is going to be released in Tamil and Hindi as well. This is the first film of Naga Chaitanya to hit theatres after his highly-talked about second marriage to actress Sobhita Dhulipala.

Underwhelming Advance Bookings

With just a couple of hours for the premiere of Naga Chaitanya's costliest film of his career, the advance bookings for Thandel movie are rather dull. The presence of Sai Pallavi is an added flair to the film as director Chandoo Mondeti also has a successful filmography. It looks like Naga Chaitanya's recent track record and the hike in ticket prices impacted the day 1 advance bookings. By 4 PM on February 6, Thandel movie sold only 80,000 tickets country-wide (three languages) and made about Rs 1.5 Crore in advance. The number is quite low for a film with stars and a heavy production background. However, things will turn for Thandel if there is a positive feedback after the premiere on February 7.

Bunny Vasu and Allu Aravind produced he movie under the Geetha Arts banners. Naveen Nooli and Shamdat Sainudeen worked as the film's editor and cinematographer. Karthik Theeda co-wrote the movie along with the director, Chandoo Mondeti. Devi Sri Prasad composed the film's entire background score and music.
