Thandel Gets Trolled After Netflix Release: Naga Chaitanya's biggest hit, highest-grossing film to date, Thandel, starring Sai Pallavi, was released to positive reviews on February 7 theatrically. The movie was released in Tamil and Hindi versions also but the makers have focused on promoting it widely across the Telugu states. As a result, Thandel earned over Rs 100 Crore, becoming the first for Akkineni actors including Nagarjuna. The real-life story of a fisherman caught by the Pakistan government was depicted by director Chandoo Mondeti, who only emphasized on the romantic aspect of the ordeal.

Naga Chaitanya's film made its awaited digital streaming debut on Netflix on March 7. The movie is streaming for subscribers in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi versions. While the movie earned wonderful reviews after its theatrical release, the OTT release gave rise to several memes and trolls. Devi Sri Prasad's music is the soul of the film and it was told many a time by the filmmakers and the cast during success meets.

Thandel Synopsis
Despite Satya's plea to quit fishing, Thandel Raju and his team of fishermen drift away and enter Pakistani waters during their fishing trip. They decide to get married after that one trip, but Raju and his team are held captive at a Pakistani jail. Bujji Thalli's unwavering love, courage, and strength until the moment of reunion are all about Thandel.

Apart from Naga Chaitanya as Raju and Sai Pallavi as Satya AKA Bujji Thalli, the movie stars Kalpalatha, Karunakaran, Prakash Belawadi, Mahesh Achanta, and Parvateesam among others in prominent roles.
Bunny Vasu and Allu Aravind produced the movie under the Geetha Arts banners. Naveen Nooli and Shamdat Sainudeen worked as the film's editors and cinematographers. Karthik Theeda co-wrote the movie with Chandoo Mondeti, the director. Devi Sri Prasad composed the film's entire background score and music.
